ABOUT US
THE LIGHT
CHURCH 514

WHO WE ARE

"You are the light of the world"

In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus compares His followers to light, saying we “are the light of the world,” unable to be hidden.  No one puts a lamp under a bowl because a lamp is designed to help people see in dark places.  Light cannot be anything other than what it is.  It’s bright; it dispels darkness; it enables people to see what they are doing.  It enables people where they are going to.  Jesus Christ told us to “let your light shine before others,” calling them to live an active Fatih, not a passive one.  As the Christ-followers, the Light Church receive the call to be the light to those around them by doing and saying what Jesus Christ did in our life.  By growing in relationship with Jesus every day, following Him step by step, we partner with Him in spreading the truth in this world.

THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

We are committed to help believers connect and encounter the presence of God. By creating an environment where people can come as they are regardless of their past or present circumstances. Our worship helps us to profess our faith in Christ and become disciples who passionately desire to expand God's Kingdom through our daily life. We achieve this vision by:

  • WORSHIP: We strive to connect people to God and to one another

  • GROWTH: We strive to grow in spiritual discipline and maturity through the study of the Word of God.

  • SERVICE: We strive to reach and serve both locally and globally with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

THE MISSION STATEMENT OF THE CHURCH

The Light Church 514 is a multicultural, multigenerational church dedicated to encouraging people to find their identity in Christ as well as their gifts, talents, and callings to build up the Church. We believe true inner healing comes from finding our identity in Christ and is not something we can accomplish on our own. To this end we provide quality, intimate worship and doctrinally-sound Bible teachings about the character of God, encouraging individuals to submit to God’s will and to exercise what they learn in their daily lives. We aim to equip each person as a disciple of Jesus Christ and encourage them to fulfill the Great Commission and Great Commandments.
